I agree with the statement 2, it is always useful to introduce the class with a review about the last one, it helps students to reinforce what they learnt and what they are learning; on the other hand, I think that using a song at the end of the class is just one resource that we can use in order to practice the language given, but in fact ,we can make use of several materials and varies the way that we close our lesson.

I always start my clases reviewing the topics seen in the last class. This is very importat to help ss rememeber and practice whatever they have learnt. I start with a game or an oral activity. I try to do it very dynamic for learners.
