Where to Find Weathered Crisis Fragments
Weathered Crisis Fragments drop from bosses inside Citadels—special endgame zones that appear on the Atlas once you reach Tier 15 Waystones. There are three types of Citadels: Stone, Iron, and Copper, each with distinct bosses and visual themes. Defeating these bosses guarantees Crisis Fragments, including the Weathered variant, which is one of the three fragments needed to unlock the Arbiter of Ash fight in the Burning Monolith.

Farming Strategies for Citadels

Progress to Tier 15 Waystones and Beyond
Citadels require you to run Tier 15 Waystones or higher. To access the most profitable Citadels and maximize fragment drops, you should advance your Atlas progression to unlock these high-tier maps.

Optimize Waystones with Corruption and Crafting
Waystones can be corrupted to gain up to six suffix modifiers, which increase the Waystone Drop Chance. Only suffixes boost this chance, so corrupting a Waystone to have six suffixes is ideal, though it also makes the map more difficult. Using Vaal Orbs on Waystones can achieve this corruption.
Additionally, crafting and using Precursor Tablets with “Increased Quantity of Waystones Found in Your Maps” around Citadel maps further boosts fragment drops.

Maximize Waystone Drop Chance
To increase the number of Crisis Fragments dropped per Citadel boss, stack Waystone Drop Chance modifiers from your Atlas passive tree, gear, and map crafting.

Around 300% Waystone Drop Chance increases the odds of receiving two fragments per boss.

Between 750% and 900% can yield three fragments per boss, significantly boosting your farming efficiency.

Efficient Map Running and Atlas Pathing
Reveal as much new area as possible per map to discover more Citadels quickly. Use strategies like following coastlines or picking a direction to maximize fog-of-war uncovering. Look for colored beams in the fog—red for Stone Citadels, blue for Iron, and orange for Copper—as visual indicators of Citadel locations.
Running Citadels in quick succession maximizes fragments per hour.

Prepare for Challenging Boss Fights
Citadel bosses are tough, especially on maps with heavily corrupted Waystones. Build optimization, flasks, and knowledge of boss mechanics are essential to clear these efficiently and safely.

Additional Tips

If you are not yet strong enough for Tier 15 Waystones, farm lower tiers to build currency and gear before tackling Citadels.

Consider grouping with friends or joining public parties to speed up boss kills and map clears.

After farming Citadels, respec your Atlas passive tree back to your primary farming setup to maintain overall efficiency.

To farm Weathered Crisis Fragments effectively, focus on running Tier 15+ Citadels with corrupted Waystones that maximize Waystone Drop Chance. Combine this with optimized Atlas passives, map crafting, and efficient pathing to discover and clear Citadels rapidly. This approach yields multiple Crisis Fragments per boss kill, accelerating your progress toward unlocking the Burning Monolith and the Arbiter of Ash encounter.
