- The World Bank is an international organization that helps emerging market countries to reduce poverty. Its first goal is to end extreme poverty. It wants to no more than 3 percent of people to live on $1.90 a day or less by 2030. Its second goal is to promote shared prosperity. It wants to improve the incomes of the bottom 40 percent of the population in each country. Since 1947, the World Bank has funded more than 12,000 projects.

- Action Aid It is an international development organization based in the UK that help people fight for the rights that they are denied. Simple things, like the right to eat. The right to stay on their land. To an education. To have a say in the decisions that shape their lives. It was founded in 1972 by Cecil Jackson-Cole.

- Caritas works in rich countries and not so well off ones, in the Northern hemisphere and the global South. They consider integral human development as the guiding principle for our longer-term projects, but responds efficiently and effectively to sudden onset emergencies too. Lorenz Werthmann founded the first Caritas in Germany 1897.

- Care International, founded in 1945, is a A global leader within a worldwide movement dedicated to saving lives and ending poverty.

- Oxfam, founded in 1942, works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. They save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And they campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and global decisions that affect them.
