Where do these organisations work?

The World Bank: worked in189 member countries.
Action Aid: worked in 45 countries all over the world.
Caritas: worked on projects at national and international level
Care International: worked in 95 countries.
Oxfam: worked on international projects.

What do they do?

The World Bank: is a source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries Action. Action Aid: they help people in simple things, like the right to eat, to stay on their land, to education.
Caritas: they work in programs and actions of support to poorer people.
Care International: they work in humanitarian aid and poverty reduction projects.
Oxfam: they work in development programmes, humanitarian aid, fair trade and education campaigns.

Where and when did each organisation start?

The World Bank: Since inception in 1944, the World Bank has expanded from a single institution to associated group of five institutions.
Action Aid: they head office is in Johannesburg.
Caritas: It was constituted on the initiative of the Spanish Episcopal Conference by agreement of the National Assembly of charity in October 1947.
Care International: Born France, in May 1946, the first of a wave of responses to millions in need of food and relief supplies at the end of World War II.
Oxfam: founded in 1956 as the Secretariat of missions and development of the society of Jesus
