Iridology is the study of the iris to diagnose symptoms and illnesses. Its discovery is attributed to Hungarian physician Ignatz von Peczely, born in 1826.

Iridologists examine the iris and look for some marks and different shades of colour. Each body part is assigned to an area of the iris and depends on the marks or shadows you can see you know the current state of health of the body and its organs.

Imagine that the iris to be the face of a clock; if there is a mark at 3 o'clock you can have some inherited heart problems, if it is at 6 o’clock yours problems may be renal.

Grey rings around the iris relate to nervous disorder and small mole like cotton in the bottom that you can suffer from degenerative osteoarthritis.

Acordint to Iridologists the colours also change according to the disease. An orange discoloration tells us the person has a pre-disposition to diabetes and in the case of the cholesterol different white rings are the sign.
