1. Modern technology

1. Modern technology

I agree about the positive and negative technology aspects that the two people discussed. On one hand, I think technology is essential to keep developing new medicines, new machines that help us with less environmental impact, to keep improving things that are still working, etc. On the other hand, I believe there are people that use technology distorting the true objective. It’s impossible that it would be necessary to have to change the mobile phone model every six months!

I am convinced that technology is beneficial to our lives and our environment. We only have to think in the advances of medicine or education. That’s incredible!! Technology allows us to have more information about all the things and to have more comfortable life. It’s true that there are some drawbacks using new technologies, but if we value the final result we have to be grateful for the advantages that technologies create in our lifes.

Well, I absolutely agree with the men becuase I consider new thecnologies has been developed to make us easier our lifes.

For instance, nowadays I can’t imagine people working without a computer or a mobile phone although in the past people did it.

About medicine, I think all people will agree that researching is necessary to develop new drugs to treat cancer and other untreated pathologies. The disadvantage is these new drugs are very expensive and it will be very difficult to finance them by authorities.

Well, I'm not disagree with the woman at all, but I prefer the arguments of the man. Mobile phones, computers, television, microwave ovens, and other electronic machines are very useful in the present, but they are not necessary. It's a real fact that this technology can help us, and the best example is the application in medicine. Maybe technology can be a menace in the future too, we have a lot of possibilities in our hands and we have to find the right way to apply all the technological advances.

Absolutely, I agree with the man. He suggests that in medicine, technological developments mean that people now live 'healthier lives'. This improves the quality of their lives.
I disagree with the woman. Especially when she says people spend less time together because of computers and the Internet. Perhaps physically, but it is a good way to follow in contact with the family and friends. For example, we can see with a Web cam, people who is far of us.

On the one hand I agree with the woman (Tash) because I hate the noise of mobile phone when I am watching a film at the cinema or when I am in a class. And I think that people get carried away by fashion trends and they by the last generation mobile because it has TV, games, Internet and other utilities that probably they don’t need and they’ll never use.
On the other hand, I agree with the man (Karl) because often the mobile phone has been useful in emergency situations or for self-rescue for example in a car accident. As well as the technology has made significant advances in medicine and it benefits to everyone.
