FILMS FROM MY COUNTRY

The last spanish film I have seen is "Camino de Santiago". If you want to have fun it is a good film. There are several gags that make you laugh. The story is credible, more or less, and very amusing.

I recommend a film from my country called “Mar adentro” (the sea inside) by Amenabar. In fact, “Mar adentro” and “Politikí kouzina (“A touch of spice”) are both my two favourite films.
The first film tells the story of Ramon Sampedro, a sailor who remained quadriplegic for 30 years in a bed after a diving accident and looked for the way to get the end of his life throughout euthanasia. Along the film we can see his relationship with his family (great Mabel Rivera as sister-in-law and Bardem as Ramon Sampedro, too), two important women and other people. It’s has a very beautiful photography made by Aguirresarobe, too.

“Politiki kouzina” is a Greek film by Boulmetis. It tells the story of Fanis, a child (boy) 7 years old who lives in Istambul, whose grandfather, Vassilis, a culinary philosopher and mentor, teaches him that food and life (both of them) require a little salt and a touch of spice to give them flavor. He leaves this city and has to go to live to Athens. 30 years after this, he comes back to Istambul to reunite with very ill grandfather and he meets again his first love. These experience are useful to him because he realizes that he forgot put a little salt and a touch of spice in his own life.

And…“Camino de Santiago” is “the Way” by Estevez? I’m going to go to see it, too.
