Generating wealth in Path of Exile is not just about what content you run but how you structure your passive investments. Early planning around the Atlas and skill tree can significantly enhance currency farming output. Focused tree paths often lead to better long-term gains.

Begin by unlocking as many Atlas regions as possible and pushing your Awakening level. This opens up access to more impactful Sextant mods, higher tier map drops, and league-specific mechanics. From there, choose a path: either specialize in a specific mechanic like Heist, Blight, or Expedition, or take a more generalist approach to maximize map value.

If you choose Expedition, target logbooks, especially from Tujen, who can offer massive currency bundles. Invest in nodes that increase encounter chance and improve reward quantity. You’ll also want to gear your character for AoE clear to deal with the large packs.

Your passive skill tree should support your mapping strategy. Prioritize movement speed, AoE, and sustain. Builds like Tornado Shot Deadeye or Explosive Arrow Ballista Hierophant excel at this and scale well with investment.

Running maps quickly and consistently is the best way to accumulate wealth. Favor layouts like Cemetery, Strand, or Crimson Temple for fast runs and valuable div card drops. Incorporate scarabs and Sextants for scaling returns, but avoid overinvesting unless you can clear efficiently.

Vendor flipping can supplement your income. Sell chromatic items, chaos recipe sets, and quality gems regularly. The chaos recipe is especially helpful early on to bootstrap your currency stash.

Consider a loot filter that highlights only high-value items and currency. Reducing clutter ensures faster runs and less time wasted on junk items. Tools like FilterBlade make this process customizable and dynamic.

If your build can handle it, juice maps with Beyond or Delirium for extra mob density and loot explosions. However, be sure your damage and survivability can scale alongside the challenge.

Regularly check the economy to know what’s hot. High-value uniques like Mageblood or Headhunter can spike in demand, making early copies extremely lucrative to sell or farm toward.
