There is a very important festival to honour Santa Magdalena. This is the patron saint of my village. Santa Magdalena’s Day occurs after 15 days of Passion Week. It begins on Friday morning and finishes on Saturday night.
On Friday as the church clock chimes 12 midday some people sounds church’s bell. The festival starts. The women prepare special dish all day. The bell doesn’t stop.
On Friday night a lot of people go to dance and some people don’t sleep all night.
On Saturday morning, at 7 am, a religious parade goes to hermitage in the mountain. Some men take cross and flags. The men sing. Everybody go to hermitage, too.
There’s a feast of traditional music as well as dancing and plays in the hermitage.
In the evening two religious parades be together in the street. People take candles. It’s very beautiful. The bell stops until the next year.
