I agree with the statement "It´s the teacher´s job to decide which words students need to learn"
Teacher does a diagnostic evaluation at the begining of each course. Through it, teacher notices the level of the group and can adapt the specific vocabulary depending of the needs of his students. Besides he should consider students´need and interest to include the appropriate words to reach the aims of the syllabus.
