1. What factors do you consider inportant in causing mixed ability? Put these in order of importance for you:
-Previous exposure
-Learning style
-Aptitute
-Motivation
-Attitude
-Personality
2.Look again at the classroom scenarios in execise 1 and the solutions suggest by teachers. What do you think of the teachers´suggestions? What else would you do in these situations?
I think that suggestions are appropiate to each situation since teachers have to consider that students are not similar.
3. Every group is a mixed-ability group. Do you agree with this? What are the implication of this statement for teachers?
Yes, I agree. Teachers have to consider all the factors in causing mixed ability to plan the classes accordingly.
4. Mixed ability is usually considered to be a problem. But is it? Could there be some advantages to having students of different levels and abilties in the same class?
Mixed ability group benefits students to increase interaction, get other perspectives on things, discuss different puposes and promote tolerance.
