Hello again!
I teach very young learners, and we mainly do oral work. We sometimes do writing activities, of course, but these basically consist in tracing, finding missing words in a text, filling in gaps or even copying short phrases... A nice activity I did with my 2nd graders was:
- I told them a very short story about spring. Then we did a brainstorming: as they said spring words that appeared in the story, I wrote them down on the board. After that, they had to build tag clouds in small groups by choosing the words they liked most from the ones on the board and write them down in a tag or word cloud. As on websites, I told children that the importance of each tag had to be shown with font size and colour. They really enjoyed!
