1. What are common names where you come from?
Usually , in Spain, families name babies after the names of the calendar saints ‘days , following de catholic church tradition. So, until now it was uncommon to meet someone named following a different pattern. Nowadays it´s not odd to find children and teenagers named after any famous and foreign singer, performer etc.. Parents like a big name for their children.
2. Is your family name common?
No. My family name comes from the place where one of my ancestors was born and it sounds as a foreign name.
3. Does your family name tell you anything about your family (e.g., where you come from)?
Yes , of course. As I´ve said before my roots are in a remote and small village of the mountains completely isolated , where a few families still live in.
4. Some English names refer to trades or professions, such as Butcher or Baker. Does your name mean anything? Are there any names in your country that do?
No, my name doesn’t mean anything but where I came from it´s usual to find names related to professions or trades,

5. Are any names from other countries popular in your country? Which ones?
Yes. Due to the influence of foreing Tv series ( particularly series from U.S.) you can frequently meet people with English-speaking names. I frequently travel all around this country and I often hear children, teenagers and youngsters named this way.

6. In your country when you meet someone for the first time what name do you use? How do you know when you can use their first name?
It depends on the treatment you get from the new person you meet. There is a big difference between youngsters and people in their fifties an older. Young people tend to use your name directly but the older are politer and usually use your surname.
7. In your country do you ever use surnames without a title (e.g., Mrs or Mr)? When could you do this? Why would you do it?
With family or friends never use surnames when talking each other and they call their friends and relatives by name and also by nicknames or pet names. With your boss, customers or co-workers , depending on the trust you have in them ,we may use or not.
