Children as learners

"I never do songs with my group of 10-year-olds. They think singing songs is for babies."
- I disagree with this statement, singing songs is a very dynamic way of learning short phrases by repeating the lyrics of the song. I believe that there is always a kind of music that is suitable for every person´s age so if students think singing is for babies, the teacher should look for trendy songs that make students feel comfortable.

"I always start the lesson with a review of the previous lesson. And I always end the lesson with a song."
- Routines are good for the learners, they help to make the students know what comes next so they can work faster. I agree with this statement because you can review vocabulary from the previous lesson by recycling the same words and with a different contex, this is helpful because they are always practicing at the beginning of the lesson and finishing the class in a participative way when they sing at the end

"I prepare extra exercises for the children who finish early. It's not good if they have nothing to do."
- I agree with this statement, there will be students that are more advanced than others and they are very fast with tasks so it is a good idea to have some extra material to give students whenever they finish quickly to avoid that faster students distract the rest or the group and at the same time you keep them interested and working.
