Thanks again Gemma for writing: the only thing about fluency activities I would add is that sometimes students can get stuck, in which case you might unobtrusively feed in the phrase they need. This helps keep the activity going and also the students might very well remember what you told them. The fact that you helped them just at the moment when they wanted to but couldn't express something, might make it more memorable.

I've tried 'not interrupting fluency activities' which I think is really important to give learners (especially lower level ones) confidence in speaking, because I feel that the point if these fluency activities is to communicate, not to be perfect. That wouldn't be the case in a feedback for grammar exercises for example.
I've also tried 'basing my teaching on learners' errors' which I talked about in my other post, it work s very well indeed.
However, I'm definitely going to try using homework mistakes as a warmer, I really like that idea
