I believe that Aptitude is the main cause of making mixed-ability.

4. Mixed ability is usually considered to be a problem. But is it? Could there be some advantages to having students of different levels and abilities in the same class?
-Yes, it is a problem. but not always! if teachers could manage and deal with mixed ability classroom in the correct way, there can be some advantages, such as; students of different levels and abilities can help each other and develop their language skills together, also it will be much easier for teachers to differentiate between good students and weak students, that will lead teachers and school to help weak students to improve their language.
